Far From Home

Just saw Spider-Man: Far from Home and it was a fantastic sequel. The characters are funny, MJ is tolerable this time, the battles are intense, it's just a great film. Although I was not all that surprised by the twist, and the new nickname for the Spider-Sense is stupid. A great conclusion to the Infinity Saga of the MCU. Wonder what's next.

End of an Era

So I saw Avengers: Endgame. All I have to say is....wow.

Ever since 2008, Iron Man has been one of my favorite superheroes. Similar to Batman, he is one of the shining examples of how one can rise above tragedy and use their station in life to help others and the world at large. Sure, he can go a little too far. He can be egotistical. But that's all part of what makes him relatable and human. Throughout the past 11 years and through numerous films, we've seen Tony Stark's character go into deep places, and it's all led up to this moment. He sacrificed himself for the universe, and I say thank you. Thank you for 11 years of being the face of the MCU. It couldn't have taken off without you.

And...huh. I actually liked this movie. The humor was great, the comic references were slick, the meta-ness of it all was fantastic. This may be my second favorite superhero movie of this year after Marvel's Infinity War.

A Teen Titans Go! property being good? We must be in a parallel universe now....*cue X-Files theme*

I wasn't a big fan of Jack's ending. Not because of 'muh Jashi' (even though they are adorable together) but the logic behind her disappearance: if she never existed, then how was Jack able to go back to his time period and kill Aku? Wouldn't the paradox still be unresolved? I might be wrong on this, so what do you think?

It's over. After 16 years, his journey has come to an end. It was a wild ride, alright. Really wild ride. But, no matter what sadness is involved, at least Jack made it back home where he belongs. And that's--well, I guess that's the beautiful part.
